PRESS RELEASE

Hank Williams Museum Turns 13 Today

February 09, 2012

The Museum has been open for 13 years today! We will celebrate this Sunday, February 12th from 1-4 pm with Open House. I'd like to extend a special invitation to you and your friends and family to join us. It is free admission but donations are welcome.

Braxton Schuffert will be 96 years young on Feb 22. We will honor him on Sunday the 12th for his birthday. Please extend your wishes to him for his dedication to Hank Williams for 76 years! Cards can be mailed to the Braxton Schuffert  c/o  Hank Williams Museum, 118 Commerce Street, Montgomery, AL 36104 OR we would love for you to deliver it in person!!

We will be giving free copies of the book "Dear Mama Williams" to each person attending. Please limit 2 per family.

The Hank Williams Museum is nestled in Downtown Montgomery and is one of the top tourist attractions. Come in and experience the history of the first country music superstar and see how Hank Williams transformed country music and sowed the seeds of what was to become American Music, Blues, Rockabilly and even Rock and Roll.

Nearly six decades after his death, Hank Williams is one of the most powerful  iconic figures in American Music.

People from all walks of life have been influenced by his music. There is hardly a person that has listened to Hank's songs that doesn't feel the magic of his words. Hank connected with everyone he sang to.  He sang "their" emotions.  People are drawn in because Hank sang songs they relate to on a very personal level.

Please visit us Sunday or another day to see over 6000 sq ft and over 35 showcases in 8 rooms! It's the best kept secret in town!!

Refreshments and live music...
