MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A Sumatran tiger at an Alabama zoo has been tasked with predicting the winner of the Super Bowl on Tuesday by attacking one of two containers of tiger treats. Zookeepers at the Montgomery Zoo will adorn two containers of treats with the logos of the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. The containers will be placed in the tiger exhibit and the first container to be shredded by the tiger will predict the loser of the game. The Montgomery Zoo has two Sumatran tigers — three-year-old brothers than came from the Akron Zoo in Akron, Ohio. Sumatran tigers are listed as critically endangered. The species come from the Indonesian island of Sumatra and is the smallest of all surviving tiger species. |
