Alabama Tourism to Unveil Guitar Designed for Year of Music |

Montgomery, Ala. — The state tourism department will unveil a guitar designed for the Year of Alabama Music Campaign Friday, October 22 at Rogue Tavern in Birmingham at noon. The guitar shaped like the state of Alabama was specially designed by Gibson for tourism's 2011 campaign. Rick Carter of the band Rollin’ in the Hay will play the guitar at the press conference. The guitar has also been played by Bob Dylan, Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers, and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi. Country Music sensation and Enterprise native Jamey Johnson will appear on Monday's Jay Leno show and a band member will be playing the guitar. The Year of Music Campaign officially kicks off in January 2011. ### |
