AUM Homecoming
AUM will celebrate homecoming on Feb 17-18. On Feb. 17, a Chinese New Year-themed alumni reception will mark the “Year of the Warhawk,” 6-9 p.m., 10th floor of the Library Tower. Festivities will include heavy hors d' oeuvres, live music, an appearance by the university’s new mascot, and a fireworks show. Tickets are $20, free to members of the Alumni Association. On Feb.18 at 11. a.m., the community is invited to attend a family-friendly homecoming parade featuring marching bands, floats and prize throws. The parade will commence near the Taylor Road entrance and travel up East Drive to Senator’s Drive, ending at the AUM Physical Education Complex. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned between back-to-back women’s and men’s basketball games at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex, when the university will take on Loyola University.
